HOBART HURRICANES vs SYDNEY THUNDER

Patrons please note that bus arrangements for these matches have changed from last year’s BBL games at Blundstone Arena.

TRAVELLING TO BLUNDSTONE ARENA BEFORE THE GAME

Metro will operate shuttle services on special event Route B5 from Hobart City to Blundstone Arena only. Services will depart from Elizabeth St Stop B and travel express to Bellerive. Passengers will alight at Bus Stop 9 Clarence St (outside St Mark’s Anglican Church) and walk 200m via Derwent St to the main gates. Buses will depart Stop B at regular intervals commencing from 5pm.

Patrons wishing to travel to the games by bus will need to catch a regular Metro bus to Hobart City and then transfer to Route B5. Alternatively you may wish to drive to the City and park before catching Route B5. Standard Metro fares will apply on services travelling to Hobart City. Travel on Route B5 from the City to Blundstone Arena is free of charge.

Metro buses are operating to the Sunday and public holiday timetable on Sunday 08 January – please refer to the Metro website or contact us for further details.

TRAVELLING FROM BLUNDSTONE ARENA AFTER THE GAME

Please note that Metro’s normal timetabled Sunday / public holiday services have ceased operation by the time the matches are scheduled to finish. The services listed below will be the only buses operated by Metro at the conclusion of these matches.

All services operating after the match are free of charge.

All buses departing Blundstone Arena at the conclusion of the matches will operate on Route B5. Buses will travel express to Hobart City.

From Hobart City, patrons will be able to connect to services operating on the following special event routes:

ROUTE B1: HOBART CITY to KINGSTON CENTRAL

Buses will depart from Elizabeth St Stop F and travel to Kingston Central, stopping en-route at Browns Road.

ROUTE B2: HOBART CITY to GLENORCHY, CLAREMONT & BRIDGEWATER

Buses will depart from Elizabeth St Stop E and set down at the following stops:

Brooker Ave Stop 21 (Ashbolt Cres); Derwent Park Rd; Metro Springfield; Glenorchy Interchange; then ALL STOPS on Main Rd to Claremont Stop 37; then EXPRESS to MX Bridgewater – Green Point Rd; Cove Hill Fair; MX East Derwent Hwy (alight here for Herdsmans Cove & Gagebrook); then ALL STOPS via Old Beach and Otago (including Jetty Rd & Otago Bay Rd), to terminate at the East Derwent Hwy/Direction Dr stop.
