UPDATE: Launceston: West Tamar Service Disruption – From 16 April 2019

Stormwater works at the intersection of Rannoch Avenue and Balmoral Avenue will disrupt West Tamar services.  Stop closures and route diversions will be in place for the duration of the works.  Works will continue from 16 April 2019 until approximately 3 May 2019.  Intending Passengers should continue to check the Metro Website for updates.


Service Deviations

Journeys to Launceston

  • Route 80P normal route to Riverside Shops stop 16 inbound, then right into Pomona Road and continue Pomona Road to Pitt Street and route as normal to terminus.
  • Route 85 to commence in Riverside Drive after Riverside Way 4 minutes after scheduled departure time, then right into Pomona Drive and route as normal to terminus.

Journeys from Launceston

  • Route 90P normal route to Pomona Road, then left into Riverside Drive, continue Riverside Drive, then right into Riverside Way, left into West Tamar Highway and route as normal.
  • Route 95 – normal route to Pomona Road then left into Riverside Drive and terminate.

  • Penrith Street and Tennyson Drive
  • No. 49 Penrith Street
  • Penrith Street and Braemar Court
  • Penrith Street and Dion Crescent
  • Penrith Street and Riverside Drive
  • 60 Riverside Drive

Alternative Bus Stops

  • West Tamar Road
  • Riverside Shopping Centre
  • Pomona Road

Journeys from Launceston

The following bus stops will be closed:

  • Balmoral Avenue before Rannoch Avenue
  • Penrith Street and Tennyson Drive
