Due to Christmas Pageant street closures in Hobart CBD on Saturday 22 November 2025 between 6AM and 2PM, there will be changes to Metro bus services. Please read the following details to plan your journey.

Please note:

Many regular city stops will be inaccessible between 6:00AM until around 2:00PM.
Many bus routes will start and finish at different locations in the city.
Some routes will be diverted.

Where to Catch Your Bus:

1. Northern Suburbs & Glenorchy (Routes 502–551, 561)

To Hobart:
Buses will finish at Elizabeth St between Melville and Bathurst Streets (McCann’s Stop 2).
From Hobart:
Buses will leave from temporary stops in Bathurst Street, travel via Argyle and Brisbane Streets, then resume their normal route.

2. Eastern Shore (Routes 601–695)

To Hobart:
Buses will finish at Franklin Square (Elizabeth St).
From Hobart:
Buses will leave from Stop D3, Franklin Square (Elizabeth St), then travel via Macquarie Street.

3. West Hobart

To Hobart:
Buses will finish at St David’s Cathedral (Macquarie St).
From Hobart:
Buses will leave from Stop D2, Franklin Square (Macquarie St), then travel via Murray, Davey, and Molle Streets.

4. Southern Services (South Hobart, Fern Tree, Mt Nelson, Sandy Bay, University, Taroona, Kingston, Blackmans Bay)
