Metro Tasmania’s Christmas Bus is spreading festive cheer across the state this year, operating across Metro’s networks.
Designed by Tasmanian illustrator Bec Adamczewski (Becski Design), the Christmas Bus is all about joy, connection and a celebration of Tasmanian communities.
As part of the Christmas Bus promotion, Metro has launched its Colour My Christmas colouring-in competition, featuring artwork from the festive bus design.
The competition aims to inspire creativity, encourage community engagement and help celebrate the festive season with families across Metro’s networks.
Entry forms are available at Metro Shops (Hobart and Moonah) and Depot Offices (Launceston and Burnie), and on Metro’s website (www.metrotas.com.au) for download.
The competition is open to Tasmanian children aged four to 16-years.
There are three prize packs valued at more than $500 each.
Entries close on Friday 31 December 2025. The winners will be announced after 20 January next year.
Entries will be judged on creativity and festive spirit by an independent panel, with one winner selected from each age bracket (4-7 years, 8-11 years, 12-16 years) for a total of three winners.
The Christmas Bus debuted at the Myer City of Hobart Christmas Pageant, where it was Runner-Up for Best Christmas Themed Entry.
The bus has now moved to Launceston, where it is in service ahead of the City of Launceston Lions Christmas Parade at the weekend.
It will then travel to the state’s north west coast for the Sea FM Burnie Christmas Parade on Friday 12 December.
