Metro Tasmania to help drive JackJumpers home games in NBL22

Tasmania JackJumpers are delighted to announce the state’s largest and most reliable bus operator, Metro Tasmania as the club’s home jersey partner.

The Metro Tasmania logo will be splashed across the chest of the iconic green Tasmania JackJumpers playing strip for the 14 home games at MyState Bank Arena and Launceston Silverdome in the Hungry Jack’s NBL 2021/22 season.

Metro Tasmania CEO Katie Cooper said the public transport company was pleased to be involved with the team during its first year in the NBL.

“Partnering with the JackJumpers in this way is a first for the company, and we are pleased to be aligned with a new, premium Tasmanian brand to promote public and active transport,” she said.
Metro Tasmania will provide free bus travel to and from JackJumpers home games so fans and members can enjoy a seamless, stress-free ride to home games.

“We will be working closely with the JackJumpers to encourage NBL fans in Hobart to travel to My State Bank Arena on one of our buses from Kingston, Rosny, Hobart’s CBD, Wrest Point or Glenorchy,” Cooper said.

“In Launceston, services to the Silverdome will be announced closer to the games.”

Tasmania JackJumpers CEO Simon Brookhouse said “we’re so pleased that an iconic Tasmanian brand will be front and centre on our home jersey and help our ant army swarm to and from the nest on game night.

“Metro Tasmania helps connect Tasmanians of all ages and all abilities every day, making travelling around this great state easy, accessible and affordable.

“There’s no better or easier way to get to a JackJumpers game, or anywhere in their broad network, than on a Metro Bus”.

Fans and members are encouraged to get to the departure zones as early as possible to ensure they can enjoy the unrivalled NBL entertainment experience both outside and inside MyState Bank Arena on December 3.

“We’d really encourage fans to jump on the bus nice and early, and be there when doors open at 6.30pm. We have some fantastic activities for the whole and a pre-game show from 7.10pm that simply cannot be missed” Brookhouse said.

Tasmania JackJumpers partnership with Metro Tasmania also includes extensive benefits for the Tasmanian community.

“We are delighted to partner with the JackJumpers’ community program which provides a great opportunity to promote Metro’s services and educate another generation about the importance of public transport.

“The promotion of our bus services through the partnership is critically important, as is our ability to deliver NBL fans right to the door for Jack Jumpers’ games” Cooper said.
JackJumpers coaching and performance staff will also engage with Metro Tasmania executive team to advance leadership development and maximise performance, among a number of other key partnership initiatives.
