Metro has appointed Dianne Underwood and Anthony Braxton-Smith to its Board of Directors at its annual general meeting today (24 November).

In welcoming them to the Board, chair Tim Gardner said both Ms Underwood and Mr Braxton Smith brought extensive and relevant experience to the Board.

“We look forward to working with them over the next three years as we continue our modernisation journey,” he said.

Ms Underwood, currently the Acting CEO for Colony47, has more than 25 years’ experience specialising in human resources, change management and strategic planning across a diverse range of sectors.

Mr Braxton-Smith, most recently the Chief Executive for the Department of Infrastructure and Transport in South Australia, has 30 years’ experience at senior executive level in both public and private sectors.

Mr Gardner paid tribute to retiring directors Susan Fahey and Jude Munro (both were appointed in 2016).

“We express our deep appreciation to Susan and Jude for their contribution and leadership through Covid-19 and the development of our strategic priorities,” he said.

Chair Tim Gardner, who was first appointed to the board in 2015, was reappointed to the position.
