Metro Tasmania
Metro Tasmania Pty Ltd is a state owned company established in February 1998. The company trades as Metro and operates bus services in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie. Metro is the largest passenger transport company in Tasmania.
Public Interest Disclosure
The Public Interest Disclosure Act 2002 (or whistleblower legislation) requires all State Owned Companies and Government Agencies to:
- adopt procedures to deal with public interest disclosures;
- report on any disclosures and where the procedures manual can be obtained in their annual report; and
- make the procedures manual available to staff, contractors and the general public.
