Major night roadworks on the Tasman Highway near Lower Domain Road will impact traffic conditions and some Metro services during May and early June 2026.
Stage 1 Roadworks
Dates & Times:
- Saturdays: 2 May, 16 May, 30 May 2026
7:30pm – Sunday 8:00am - Sunday: 3 May 2026
7:30pm – Monday 6:00am
Traffic Conditions:
- Outward (Tasman Bridge-bound) lanes remain open with reduced speed limits
- Both city-bound lanes closed
Metro Service Impacts:
- No bus stops closed
- No temporary stops required
- Delays may occur due to changed traffic conditions
Stage 2 Roadworks
Weeknight Closures:
- 4–7 May 2026
- 11–14 May 2026
7:30pm – 6:00am nightly
Weekend Closures:
- 9 May 7:30pm – 10 May 8:00am
- 17 May 7:30pm – 18 May 6:00am
- 31 May 7:30pm – 1 June 6:00am
Traffic Conditions:
- All outward (Tasman Bridge-bound) lanes closed
- One city-bound lane open (riverside lane only) with reduced speed limits
- No access between Lower Domain Road and Tasman Highway in both directions
Metro Service Impacts:
- Government House, Tasman Hwy stop closed
- No temporary stops available
- Route diversions will apply as per detour maps
- Passengers should allow extra travel time
