Advice on reducing the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Metro is responding to the emerging COVID-19 outbreak in line with Department of Health recommendations, and meets regularly with its cleaning contractor to ensure practices are consistent with the latest advice.

Following the outbreak, Metro wishes to remind all passengers that everyone is welcome on board Metro services, but in keeping with the Tasmanian Government’s COVID-19 advice, please consider your need to travel if you are feeling unwell.

Additionally, please refrain from visiting our Metro Shop or any Metro depot if you are feeling unwell. Our hotline will be able to assist with any passenger queries on 13 22 01, from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

If you think you might have COVID-19 because of recent overseas travel or contact with a confirmed case, protect yourself and others by staying home and seeking advice from the Tasmanian Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738.

Metro will continue to work with the Department of Health Tasmania and will provide any updates where necessary. For more information, please visit the Department of Health’s website: https://www.dhhs.tas.gov.au/
