Zero Emission Bus Trial Project Update: November 2022
The tender for up to three Battery Electric Buses and Battery Chargers closed on Monday 24 October; and the tenders for up to three Fuel Cell Electric Buses and the Hydrogen Refuelling Station closed on Monday 31 October. Contracts for supply are expected to be awarded by the end of January 2024.

Zero Emission Bus Trial Project Update: October 2022
As part of the Request-for-Tender process, Tenderer’s conducted site inspections of the Metro locations where the Zero-Emission-Buses will be garaged, maintained, recharged and refuelled. The schedule for the site inspections was: The closing date for tenders is 24 October (BEB Trial) and 31 October (FCEB Trial).
Cam River Bridge – Route 197 from Mon 31 Oct
Metro Tasmania will be providing additional Route 197 services from Monday 31 October. All Route 197 services will remain FREE. The route will be as normal. Timetable information can be found here: Burnie Network
Metro Shop Closure due to Public Holiday
Both the Hobart CBD (22 Elizabeth Street, Hobart) and Springfield (212 Main Road, Moonah) Metro Shops will be closed on Thursday 20 October, due to the Royal Hobart Show public holiday. The Information Hotline (13 22 01) will still be operating. Business will resume as normal on Friday, 21 October. Apologies for any inconvenience.
