Foo Fighters Concert – Additional Metro Nightrider Services

Heading to Foo Fighters in Launceston this weekend? The Tasmanian Government and Metro are providing another option to help fans get home after the concert at UTAS Stadium on Saturday, 24 January 2026.

In addition to Metro’s regularly scheduled services, there will be additional Metro Nightrider services departing from Launceston city between 10.30pm and 12.30am, so you can leave the car at home and enjoy a smooth trip after the show.

For concertgoers travelling from UTAS Stadium, take a short walk to the Launceston City Bus Interchange to access additional late-night services (Routes 140, 145, 160).

Alternatively, Route 115 is a convenient option for those heading north through Invermay, Mowbray, and Rocherlea. Nearby stops include:

  • Holbrook Street
  • Invermay Road near Elm Street
  • William Street

These stops are within walking distance of the stadium and allow you to travel:

  • Outbound: Through Invermay and Mowbray, finishing in Rocherlea — ideal for passengers travelling north without returning to the city first.
  • Inbound: Directly into Launceston city, where you can connect with other late-night services.

Check the map to find the Route 115 stops and choose the direction that best suits your journey.

Plan Ahead
A big crowd is expected, and traffic and parking restrictions will apply. Event organisers strongly encourage concertgoers to plan their trip ahead of time.

  • Temporary road closures: Invermay Road (between Forster Street and Lindsay Street) from 12.00pm Saturday 24 January to 12.30am Sunday 25 January
  • Street parking restrictions: Will apply in the surrounding area
