Our bus drivers are at the heart of our journey to connect communities and enhance the public transport experience across our networks. If you’re passionate about customer service and like the idea of an ever-changing office view, we want you to join our driver team.
We strive to create the best customer experience on the road, and we’re looking for dedicated and reliable bus drivers to help us achieve this. As a Metro bus driver, you’ll enjoy rewarding interactions with customers from all walks of life, contributing to the vibrancy of the communities we serve in Burnie, Hobart and Launceston.
Why join us as a bus driver?
As a Metro bus driver, you receive:
- A competitive salary of between $68,500 – $94,000 per year (plus Super) for full-time drivers, well above the national award
- $2,000 Sign-on Bonus made up of $1,000 sign-on bonus once you pass probation and $1,000 once you hit 12 months at Metro. See Terms & Conditions.
- 6 weeks paid training to teach you everything you need to know
- 8 weeks of paid leave for full-time drivers (5 weeks annual, 3 weeks accrued days)

- Personalised wellbeing program with one-on-one consultation with qualified personnel
