About the Opportunity
As our Asset and Infrastructure Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and delivery of Metro’s asset management framework and capital works program. Overseeing a significant operational and capital budget, you will ensure our assets are safe, reliable, compliant, and fit for the future. You will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and lead a team focused on continuous improvement.
The role is not just about maintenance – it is about forward thinking and contributing to the long-term projects that enhance our customer experience and elevate public transport in Tasmania.
What We Are Looking For
- We are seeking a confident leader and strategic thinker who brings:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in asset or infrastructure management – ideally in transport, utilities, or heavy industry.
- Deep understanding of safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
- Proven ability to lead teams to achieve long-term goals.
- Ability to deliver projects linked to strategic and operational objectives in a complex environment.
- A current driver’s licence (travel required), the ability to pass a police check and medical assessment, and full working rights in Australia.
