Reporting to the Program Director, you’ll lead a range of exciting and strategic ICT projects across Metro. From upgrading our document management and Workplace Health and Safety systems, to data restoration projects, your work will directly contribute to Metro’s mission of delivering safe, reliable, and efficient public transport.

You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our IT systems align with business needs, stay on schedule, meet budget goals, and positively influence change for internal stakeholders.

About you  

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies and driving projects from conception to delivery, as well as an understanding of relevant IT systems and stakeholder management.

You’ll have:

  • Proven experience delivering projects using contemporary project management tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and deliver on time and within budget — while managing risk and adapting to change.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to work across teams and resolve issues constructively.
  • A solid understanding of business principles — including budgeting, contracts, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience transitioning systems from legacy technologies to modern platforms.
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
  • A problem-solving mindset, with flexibility and resilience through every project phase.
