Celebrating Damien Arkley, TasBus Achiever of the Year!

We’re thrilled to announce that our Manager Statewide Operations, Damien Arkley, won the 2025 TasBus Achiever of the Year Award.

During his 14 years with Metro, Damien’s operational leadership ensures a high-quality customer experience across these regions. Damien is well-known for his strong connection to local issues and regularly represents Metro at key forums, advocating for improvements in public transport.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, Damien has been instrumental in leading recent industrial relations negotiations that resulted in nation-leading changes to further support bus operators. These changes have provided critical support to Metro’s workforce.

On the award, Damien said:
“We work in an industry that connects many through all of our services, also how we contribute as a greater team to the advocacy of the public transport industry is very much a reflection of our commitment and dedication to provide a safe, accessible and welcoming service to the community.
