Celebrating Ivan’s 50 years at Metro!

Today, a member of the Metro team, Ivan, celebrated a very special milestone — 50 years at Metro!

Ivan started with us on 26 May 1975. From day one, he’s been a full-time Bus Operator, and has become a familiar, trusted face for generations of Tasmanians on board our buses. There is a real care and presence of mind we’ve come to know from Ivan – and a true example of living our Metro value of ‘we care for our customers.’

Ivan, on behalf of all of us here at Metro, your colleagues past and present, our Board, leadership team, and the communities you’ve served, we want to thank you for your 50 years of commitment, professionalism, and kindness. You’ve made a real mark on the Metro team, and we are grateful for your service.
